Atlante left the border with three points that kept their tournament alive. However, the narrow scoreline reflected a demanding evening rather than a comfortable victory.
Jhojan Julio started and struck the post before Nicolás Carrera settled the contest against FC Juárez. The visitors won 1-0 on October 20 in Jornada 13. Consequently, the Potros remain outside the qualifying places, but their Liguilla hopes still have substance.
Carrera delivers the winner on the border
Carrera headed home in the 76th minute at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez. Martín Sarrafiore supplied the corner that finally separated the teams following several earlier chances for both sides.
